The Music Institute of Chicago's FOUR SCORE FESTIVAL presents an afternoon of music by Chicago composer Stacy Garrop. Featured on the program are her works The Book of American Poetry (Volume II), Ars Poetica, Tantrum, Double Trouble, Tango Gardél, and Silver Dagger.

In addition to featuring 2010 Concerto Competition winner Marina Stingley, the Protégé Philharmonic will perform Rimsky Korsakov's Russian Easter Overture, Berlioz's Racoczy March, and Ravel's arrangement of Mussorgsky's Pictures at an Exhibition.
 
Founded in 1979 by music director Joseph Glymph, the Protégé Philharmonic consists of junior high and high school-level musicians.  Together with the college-level and young adult Classical Symphony Orchestra, it forms a serious music education program for serious musicians.
